Crisis on. S&P 500 futures -1% and the euro -1.2% as Brussels "faced with a drowning member...

Crisis on. S&P 500 futures -1% and the euro -1.2% as Brussels "faced with a drowning member state, instead of throwing the Cypriot people a lifebuoy, (throws) a millstone around its neck." Instead of imposing losses on bondholders, EU leaders risk triggering bank runs in Cyprus (and elsewhere?) by going after bank depositors to fund the country's bailout.

Nightly Comments As predicted, today closed downed due to the Friday/Monday relationship. For those of you trading Binary Options, profits don't get any simpler. Both XLP and IBM have moved lower after they were mentioned in the last Nightly Update. Markets moved much lower since the last update when I mentioned "Lots of bearish candlesticks are forming." IWM -- Wave 5, per the newsletter, is playing out as expected. UUP -- Found support today at a double Fib area around 22.86 There are no stock to watch tomorrow.

Nightly Comments Growing indications of a bounce up for stock markets. SPX formed a Doji candlestick indicating a reversal. IWM close at a fib 61.8 retracement line. Growing weakness in precious metals. Oversold indicators are in the extreme range. Starbucks' (SBUX) is picking up La Boulange parent company Bay Bread Amazon (AMZN) has bought the publishing rights to 3,000 backlist titles from Avalon Books. Disney (DIS) raises prices for a single day visit to an Orlando-area theme park up 4.7% to $89 a pop Merck's (MRK +0.3%) insomnia drug suvorexant maintained its effectiveness for 12 months in a late-stage study.

Trade Update

We were right about Silver.  The SLV was so close to a fib 61.8 support line and to a support line drawn off the most recent lows, that when it hit and start moving up, we jumped on it.  SLV weekly Calls double in price within a couple hours.  The way this week is shaping up, I think there will be more such opportunities.

 

Gold Supply Rising Faster Than Money Supply, Collapse Inevitable

What I'd like to focus on here is the dynamics of gold supply and demand, in
order to introduce the notion that gold itself has a rate of inflation. Just
as a rising U.S. money supply can breed inflation in the broader economy, a
rising gold supply can breed "inflation" in gold, meaning that gold's
purchasing power (its price) can drop in dollar terms.

10% Decline Predicted for S&P 500

Tom Demark, founder of Market Studies LLC is calling for a 10%+ decline in
the S&P 500 that should begin within the next two weeks. DeMark's Sequential
and Combo indicators are used by many of the largest hedge funds in the
world and are currently generating their first sell signal since 2007.
Demark told Bloomberg that the decline could be "pretty sharp" and "I'm
pretty confident that in one to two weeks, the market will be in a descent."
