Thoughts & Comments The DJI dropped over 100 points today. This is consistance with our V-indicator being high on Friday. We expect a 3-digit move +/- 1 day. A drop was also consistant with our T2 indicator being heavily negative this week and with one of the last two trading days of the month being negative. VIX continued to move higher for another day. In fact it gapped up. See chart below. We have a 3-day holiday weekend coming up. Things happen over 3-day weekends. Thoughts & Comments Markets slipped lower for another day. Gold and Silver have both failed to break above Fib resistance and started pulling back today. UUP (US Dollar ETF) is showing signs of an upward move in the next few days. VIX continues to march higher since its low on 8/17. XLV, which was mentioned in last night's list of SHORT stocks to watch, actually moved higher today but once again failed to close above the top of an ascending triangle; for the sixth time since 7/19. Thoughts & Comments IWM: Moved higher supporting the possibility that a wave 5 is forming. KOG: Has been moving within a triangle, and is within days of reaching the apex. Stocks breakout before reaching the apex. Keep an eye on it. CSCO: Made the list for the 5 worst performing stocks in the DJI. It has moved from its low on 7/25 at 15.00 to a high on 8/23 at 19.39. The VIX has closed between below 15 for the 7th straight day. This is catching people's attention. The number of days between the VIX low on 3/16/12 and the high on 6/4/12 was 78 days.
